EXCLUSIVE: Belle Mariano on her Seoul International Drama Awards experience

It is both an honor and an unforgettable experience for New Gen leading lady Belle Mariano to bring the Filipino pride at the recently held 17th Seoul International Drama Awards (SDA) in South Korea.
The "An Inconvenient Love" actress, who was hailed as the Outstanding Asian Star at the prestigious ceremony, gushed about her experience at the awards show for the first time during an exclusive interview with Star Cinema after the event.
"It was super memorable. It's my first time receiving an award on stage and to be held in Korea pa and I was with other big stars, it's such an accomplishment," Belle said of her experience.

While she may have delivered her speech with grace and confidence, Belle admitted she was very nervous prior to stepping on the stage. "Kinakabahan ako noong una actually. But the moment I was there on stage, I said I'm gonna cherish this moment. And I'm proud that I brought the talent of all Filipinos there sa Korea and I share it with them,” she said.

"I was with other K-Pop idols there," she added, referring to co-awardee Kang Daniel. "Sobrang nakakatuwa, they were so nice, sobrang welcoming nila. Na-enjoy ko 'yung experience."

Belle, who bagged the award for her role in "He's Into Her", said she shares the honor with her co-stars, who were also among the first to congratulate her for her win.
"I saw a lot of their posts, grabe, sobrang supportive nila. And guys, 'yung honor na 'to, it's for us - it's for the whole cast of 'He's Into Her'. Kasi honestly, I wouldn't receive this award if not for them," she stressed.

However, according to Belle, the celebration for her big win would have to wait as she needs to immediately return to the lock-in taping of her upcoming movie with on-screen partner Donny Pangilinan.
"Right now, I'm entering the bubble [of 'An Inconvenient Love']. Siguro maybe after the whole shoot, I'll celebrate with my family, share my award with my friends and all the cast of 'He's Into Her', sina Direk (Chad Vidanes)," she shared.
