Carlo Aquino landed his first starring role in an international film co-produced by a Japanese film outfit and a local multimedia company.
In a series of Instagram posts on Friday, September 9, Star Magic, ABS-CBN’s talent management arm, announced that Carlo bagged the lead role for an international project that is slated to start production next year.
As seen in the photos, Carlo attended a contract signing event with Star Magic head Laurenti Dyogi, and representatives from Japan’s 034 Productions and the Philippines’ High Roads Creatives.

Carlo has starred in several Star Cinema films, including “Bata, Bata… Pa'no Ka Ginawa?”, “Ang Tanging Ina”, “Exes Baggage”, and “Isa Pa with Feelings”, among others.
