Tippy dos Santos graduated from law school with flying colors!

On Monday, August 1, the “Crazy Beautiful You” actress took to Instagram to mark her academic milestone of earning a juris doctor degree and a Dean’s Medalist for Academic Excellence from the University of the Philippines (UP) College of Law.

In the caption of her graduation photo, Tippy recalled her first taste of failure as a law student which makes her success now even sweeter.

“I vividly remember a moment I had by one of the UP Diliman kiosks, crying while eating Chilimansi pancit canton right after I was told I failed my first ever law school exam,” she recounted.

“I thought that was the end of my law school journey, but by God’s grace, and with the endless support of people around me, I managed to make it to the finish line. Here we are today, 4 years later and finally free from the fear of the unknown in UP Law. We are finally graduating!” she enthused.

Tippy then took a moment to express her gratitude to her loved ones, including her family and her husband Miguel Porcuna.

“To my parents, every single day is a day I wake up wanting to make you proud. My gratefulness to both of you will never be fully realized by what I can put into words, but do know that I will always try to let both of you know just how I feel. I love you, mom and dad. This is for the both of you,” she told her parents Happy and John dos Santos.

“To my sister, my #1 cheerleader, you have always been proud of ANYTHING and EVERYTHING I do no matter how simple the task may be. You always give me fuel to push harder, sis. I love you,” she wrote for Jacqueline dos Santos-Siapno.

“To my then-boyfriend, now husband, thank you for pushing me to do this. You told me to ‘go for it’ even when I thought I was not cut-out for law school. You supported me even when things became burdensome for you and you continue to support me even now that things have become more challenging. I love you, sweetheart. Thank you,” she dedicated to Miguel.

The “Dati” singer also thanked her friends, her schoolmates, and her supporters for being part of her journey on becoming a full-fledged lawyer.

“To my friends and blockmates, my God what a journey it has been. I can’t wait to see all of us pursuing the careers we’ve all worked so hard for. Thank you, guys, for being so selfless and for wanting all of us to succeed together,” she said.

“Special mention to my besties Andrea and Kennedy. You guys have made this journey bearable. I love you two! As in,” she added.

Tippy continued, “To the people who supported the law school vlogs: all of you kept me going and wanting to work harder. Thank you. Bar review vlogs coming soon? Hehe.”

The UP College of Law held its graduation ceremony yesterday, August 2.

In 2016, Tippy earned her bachelor’s degree in Family Life and Child Development in UP Diliman.

Last April, she tied the knot with her non-showbiz boyfriend Miguel after four years of being in a relationship.
