Following the announcement, the lead stars took to their respective Instagram pages to share their elation on being part of the Black Sheep-produced series.

For her part, Jayda reminisced about the day the project was pitched to her by then ABS-CBN Films Managing Director, Olivia "Inang" Lamasan.

"2 years ago, when a certain project was pitched to me by Inang Olive Lamasan and ABS-CBN Films, I took the chance to immerse myself into its story, which was from Wattpad; and being a longtime Wattpad reader and a true bookworm at heart, I was hooked, and knew from then on that I wanted to be a part of it," she recalled.

"That project was called 'Teen Clash'. So, it’s with much happiness that I get to finally announce that I’m taking on the role of Zoe in the series adaptation of 'Teen Clash'!" she exclaimed, before thanking the people who made it all possible.

Meanwhile, Markus shared how the project came to him at a time he was struggling with his music.

"I remember having major writer's block while working on my second album when I first got wind of ‘Teen Clash’. Then, while shooting something different for @riseartistsstudio, we had the chance to read some of the script and it got me so excited to begin the project," he wrote.

Aljon, on the other hand, gushed about how he considers the project the "unexpected plot twist" of his life.

"Quick story time: I still remember nung nasa grade school pa ako, lagi kong nakikita ang ate kong Wattpad lover na nagbabasa ng 'Teen Clash' book niya at ako naman si pakielamero, kinakalkal ko 'yung libro hahaha. 'Yung tipong curious ako sa kwento. Who would have thought na balang araw, ako pala ang gaganap sa character na kinakikiligan niya na si Ice," he recalled.

The RISE artist then revealed that he wasn't originally part of the series' go-see when he tried to audition for the show.

"Inadd lang ako nung dulo at ang sabi sa'kin, "Try lang pero huwag ka umasa" lalo na I still have a love team," he continued.

Dun ako lalong umapoy to do this in the best way I can," he added.

Aljon then went on to thank the people who put their trust on him to be part of the series, as he promised to give his best: "I know grabe ang pressure, but I promise we will work hard on this, and give our best. Samahan niyo ako as I journey with Ice," he wrote.

"Teen Clash" marks the first time direk Gino, Jayda, and Aljon will be working with Black Sheep. Meanwhile, Markus previously starred in "Hello Stranger: The Movie" which was released in 2021.

More details will be revealed soon so stay tuned to Star Cinema and Black Sheep's social media pages for more updates!
