WATCH: Donny Pangilinan, Belle Mariano ready for heavier plots after 'He's Into Her'

If there's anything Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano take pride in after the successful run of "He's Into Her" is how much they've grown as actors.

At the series' Season 2 Finale Grand Assembly on July 29, the two stars, who are now dubbed as the New Gen Phenomenal love team, shared how they've witnessed each other's growth being co-stars for two seasons.

For Donny, he was left in awe of how Belle made it possible to grow even more as an actress, who is already an amazing one to begin with.

"We've seen each other's growth and the way we both worked, the way our chemistry gets better, the way we approached scenes together, I've just seen how professional she is when it comes to work," Donny shared. "And I've seen her growth as an actress, which I thought hindi pa possible noong first season kasi ang galing na niya, eh. So posible pa rin pala na mag-grow," he added.

Meanwhile, her leading man's passion for his craft is something that amazes Belle every time.

"I've seen who he's grown to. The more I work with him, the more I see kung gaano siya ka-passionate sa ginagawa niya. And each and every day that I work with him, he never fails to amaze me," she spoke of the actor.

More than their individual growth, their teamwork together also played a huge role with how they pulled off the series, according to the two.

And while it challenged them both, Belle believes the lessons they learned throughout will help them gear up for their upcoming projects together, including ones with even heavier plots in it.

"Sobrang mas natuto ako mag-analyze ng character ko, mas natuto akong umintindi ng scene, magkaroon ng connection with partner, and paano mo i-bui-build 'yung eksena," Belle said. "Ang dami kong natutunan and I think, once na gumawa kami ng bagong project, 'yun 'yung ma-a-apply ko."

Echoing Belle's sentiments, Donny revealed how the series pushed him to his limits, and how the actress helped him pull it off on-screen.

"Hindi ako sanay sa deep drama na ginawa namin sa ibang scenes dito," Donny admitted. "I felt really pushed. Parang hindi ko inexpect na kaya ko gawin 'yun. And of course, I owe it a lot to Belle, Direk (Chad Vidanes), everyone there. We were put in an environment where it's so easy to work and to give what we had to give," he said.

Does it mean he's ready for heavier, dramatic plots soon? "We'll only find out when we get there, but that would be great, to do something like that," Donny enthused.
