WATCH: Elisse Joson recalls pregnancy journey in the United States

For the first time, Elisse Joson opened up about her journey to motherhood in a sit down vlog with DJ Chacha uploaded on Wednesday, July 6.

In the 36-minute video, the actress got candid about her fears when she first found out she was pregnant with daughter Felize, before detailing her pregnancy and birthing process in the United States.

However, not once did she and McCoy De Leon think of not pushing through with their baby despite their fears for their respective careers.

Elisse also recalled how her pregnancy came at a time she was in the process of searching for her purpose, which she couldn't find with her acting career.

"Naghahanap ako ng purpose in life and feeling ko baka sa pagiging mother, doon ko makita 'yun," she said. "Kasi sa pag-aartista, iba pa rin, eh. Na-eenjoy ko magpasaya ng tao or gawin 'yung passion ko to act pero hindi pa rin ako doon nakakakuha ng purpose in life. So sabi ko, baka sa motherhood. Ever since, pangarap ko rin talaga maging mommy," she revealed.

"And 'yun, siguro doon nanggagaling 'yung hindi ko naisip na 'wag na lang ituloy," she added.

Overall, Elisse had a pretty chill pregnancy journey, aside from the fact that she was away from McCoy, which she said was the "hardest part" of it all.

Laking sacrifice noon for the woman and the man," she added.

Her high pain tolerance also made her birthing process tolerable, despite it taking a whole day of her undergoing labor.

While McCoy only witnessed her giving birth via video call, Elisse can still vividly remember that priceless moment between them.

"Sabi ko nga, parang 'yun 'yung one of the best moments of my life kasi andoon si McCoy, andoon si Mama tapos 'yung magiging anak namin," she said.

Recalling the exact moment she first saw Felize, she said: "Naiyak ako.
