‘Busy pa ‘yung baby ko’: Enrique Gil confirms hiatus on LizQuen projects

Enrique Gil explained why he and his real-life girlfriend Liza Soberano would not be working together as a love team anytime soon.

In a report by PUSH published yesterday, July 20, the “My Ex and Whys” actor revealed the reason why no projects could be expected from LizQuen, as they are jointly called, in the near future.

“Wala munang LizQuen for the moment, for the meantime, since busy pa 'yung baby ko," he spoke of Liza, who has recently decided to pursue a career in Hollywood.

He continued, “Pero darating po 'yan promise. Gusto ko muna i-follow niya 'yung big break niya, mag-Hollywood, mag-US. Alam mo kung mahal mo 'yung tao, kahit anong gusto niyang gawin susuportahan mo talaga.”

Meanwhile, Enrique is focused on his showbiz comeback: “Yes, definitely I'll be back. Actually, I think alam niyo na na nag-meeting ako with the creative team of ABS-CBN. And I've also been meeting with other parties as well. Non-stop naman 'yun.”

The “Alone/Together” star admitted that he’s been meticulous in choosing his comeback project.

“So I'm really thankful for everybody, you know, offering me projects left and right. But since ito 'yung comeback ko, I just really want to make sure I choose the right one. Hindi ako tatanggap lang basta-basta. I'm at that point na gusto ko mag-level up din ng career,” he said.

Liza and Enrique have previously starred in several Star Cinema films, including “Just The Way You Are,” “Everyday I Love You,” and “My Ex and Whys.”

They have been in a relationship since October 2014.
