Filipino singer-songwriter Paolo Sandejas is still over the moon two days after he landed the trending topics for getting featured in the vlog of BTS member V.
On July 9, Saturday, BTS released a 52-minute vlog in their YouTube channel featuring V, or Kim Taehyung, listening to music while driving, eating some food, and playing virtual golf.
In the middle of the video, the K-Pop idol jams to various songs, including Paolo's single "Sorry," drawing excitement not just to Paolo himself, but to the entire Filipino ARMY. (around 25:56 mark)
The OPM artist then quickly took to Twitter that night to share his reaction over the video, who seemed to still be in a state of shock.
"HOLY F*CKING SH*T," he wrote.
In a statement released by his label Universal Records Philippines, Paolo also said it's an honor to know that a member of a global K-Pop group listens to his music.
"The fact that one of the biggest artists in the world knows my name and listens to my songs is insane to me," he said. "This is a surreal experience and I have no words to express how honored I am that he enjoys a song I worked so hard on."
Two days later, the OPM artist said he's still in disbelief about what happened, before thanking the K-Pop idol and his fellow PH ARMY in a tweet.
"GMA, TV Patrol, CNN Philippines, and 89.9 guestings. 2 days later, it’s still sinking in. Not sure what I did to deserve any of this, but I only have V and the rest of ARMY to thank 🙂 thank you for giving new meaning to my heartbreak," he wrote.
"Sorry," which was released in 2020, is part of Paolo's six-track extended play "Purple Afternoon."
