Chie Filomeno had a classy way of handling a basher who told her she looked “gay” in one of her photos.
The comment came from one netizen who replied to one of her Instagram Stories where she posted a photo of her in full glam.
The netizen told Chie: "Ang pangit mo na girl, mukha ka ng bakla" along with a sad face emoticon, to which the actress politely replied, "Thank you."
While the "Beach Bros" actress was unfazed by the comment, she decided to repost the netizen's reply on her IG Stories to school her that calling other people "mukhang bakla" is not a form of insult.
"Don't ever use 'bakla' as an insult. 'Wag kayong tumulad dito. Nakakasuka ka," she wrote.
Chie is a loud and proud supporter of the LGBTQIA+ community. She is set to star in the upcoming iWantTFC series "Beach Bros" alongside Kyle Echarri, which will premiere this July.
