Liza Soberano has revealed that she’s ready to jump-start her music career after officially signing with Careless Music, the record label and management agency led by James Reid.
In an interview with TV Patrol yesterday, June 21, the "My Ex and Whys" actress said that as a Careless talent, she will soon try her hand at being a recording artist.
“Let’s just explore. Let’s see what happens,” Liza said.
When asked to give a sample of her singing skills, Liza belted out part of the chorus of Adele’s “Someone Like You.”
Liza confirmed in the same interview that while her plans are set to pursue a career in Hollywood, she would still “take care” of her career here in the Philippines.
“I don’t wanna jinx it. I don’t wanna say more Hollywood. That is definitely what we’re trying to do right now. I don’t wanna say that I’m only focused there because of course, I still have a career to take care of here,” she shared.
Last month, Liza’s former talent manager Ogie Diaz confirmed the actress’ management switch, detailing that she will be managed by James and his team beginning June.
Liza was formally introduced as one of Careless’ talents on Monday, June 20, during the label’s media trade launch.
