Ruffa Gutierrez once again became emotional on "It's Showtime," when the topic of single mothers came up during the "Showtime Sexy Babe” segment last Saturday, June 18.
As one of the judges, the actress-host found herself in the shoes of the contestant's mother who raised her daughter all on her own.
"In a way, we don't know our mothers feel until we become mothers ourselves. Na-touch talaga ako sa sinabi mo na 'yung nanay mo raised you by herself. And syempre, 'yun ang pinagdadaanan ko," she related.
"And so many single mothers out there, I wanna greet you a Happy Father's Day kasi tayo ang tumataguyod sa pamilya natin," she added, to which Vhong Navarro returned the greeting to her as a single mom herself.
As she thanked him for his greeting, Ruffa gave a shoutout to her daughters, Lorin and Venice, who were still in Turkey at that time.
The "The Mall, The Merrier" actress then revealed that the two actually requested to extend their stay with their dad Yilmaz Bektas, before sharing a conversation she had with her ex-husband.
"Nagbiro pa 'yung Tatay, sabi ba naman, 'I didn't see them for 15 years. 'Wag ka mag-alala, next na makikita mo sila after 15 years din.’ Sabi ko, ‘Gano’n?!’" she shared, referring to the years Yilmaz and their daughters spent away from each other.
Apart from Ruffa, her mom Annabelle Rama, who was also a guest judge for the segment, was visibly in tears after hearing the contestant's life story.
On why she became emotional, she revealed: "Naalala ko 'yung mga apo ko."
