Barbie Imperial admitted that she couldn’t be happier now as a single woman, months after she and former boyfriend Diego Loyzaga called it quits.
In a report by PUSH published yesterday, June 16, the “I Love Lizzy” star asserted that she has “finally” moved on from the breakup.
"Sobrang happy ako about my life. Finally, naka-move on na ako. I'm very happy with my life now," she set the record straight.
Barbie explained that her process of moving on wasn’t so smooth and easy, but she’s finally at a place in her life when she could confidently say she’s happy and content.
"For me kasi, 'yung pag-move on, parang hindi naman siya tuloy-tuloy. There will be days na sasabihin mo na, 'Ay okay na pala ako.' And then one day, you just wake up, and boom, 'di ka pa pala naka-move on fully.” she said. “So ayun, I think naka-move on na ako, matagal na. Pero ngayon ko masasabi na I'm really happy talaga."
"I'm not dating anyone,” she clarified. “Wala, as in happy lang na ako lang.”
Barbie confessed that in the past she had been quick to get back into the dating scene after a breakup, but now she has come to realize that she could still be happy on her own.
"My happiness right now, sobrang, it's very peaceful. Like before kasi, after a breakup, parang ang bilis ko mag-date. But now, mas iba pala 'yung happiness kapag hindi mo siya nakukuha sa ibang tao."
Barbie and Diego were together for more than a year before they announced their split last February.
Earlier this month, Diego confirmed that he’s dating “Pinoy Big Brother” alum Franki Russell.
