Joseph Marco only has the best things to say about Herlene Budol, his leading lady in the romantic-comedy web series “Ang Babae sa Likod ng Face Mask.”
In an interview with ABS-CBN News, the “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano” actor expressed his admiration for the “Binibining Pilipinas” semi-finalist who starred alongside him in the rom-com.
“Totoong totoo siyang tao and walang kaarte-arte. She’s willing to do everything. Makikita mo sa kanya ‘yung hunger. Nakita ko sa kanya ‘yung sarili ko dati when I was starting and I really believe in her. And I’m sure na malayo ang mararating ni Herlene,” he said.
The “Dear Other Self” star also called this project with Herlene “a breath of fresh air” as he’s used to the heavy and hard-hitting scenes in the action drama series “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.”
“It’s a breath of fresh air kasi sobrang intense dito sa Probinsyano. Wala kasing tumatawa dun, lahat serious. Now I can flex my smile,” he shared.
When asked about how it felt to be the man to give Herlene’s first on-screen kiss, Joseph answered, “For me, feeling ko bago rin sa akin nung time na ‘yun.”
“It went great! So I’m really excited for the fans to see it because I’m sure matutuwa talaga sila dun sa scene na ‘yun,” he said of their kissing scene.
“It’s like a treat for the audience,” he added.
In “Ang Babae sa Likod ng Face Mask,” Herlene plays Malta, a 25-year-old cashier who catches the eye of Sieg (Joseph).
