Sharon Cuneta is beaming with pride over daughter KC Concepcion’s starring role in the upcoming Hollywood movie “Asian Persuasion.”
On Monday, April 2, the Megastar took to Instagram to cheer on KC who is currently filming the romantic-comedy film in the United States. Alongside a heartfelt caption, Sharon reposted a montage of throwback photos and videos of KC.
“My eldest @kristinaconcepcion now doing an all-Asian, mostly Pinoy Hollywood movie. Tina, I am proud of you! Show the world what you’ve got!” she wrote in the caption.
Last April, KC was announced as the lead star of the upcoming rom-com directed by three-time Tony Awards and Grammy Awards winner Jhett Tolentino.
She was chosen to replace Toni Gonzaga who dropped out of the project due to “conflict of schedule.”
“Thank you for joining us on this new journey. Grateful to be part of this Asian-American project, with our amazing cast & crew,” KC marked day 3 of filming in an Instagram post .
Joining KC in the cast are Dante Basco, Paolo Montalban, and Jax Bacani, as reported by Variety.
Apl.de.Ap, Yam Concepcion, Fe Delos Reyes, Tony Labrusca, and Rex Navarrete are also part of the cast.
This project marks KC’s acting comeback after nine years.
The film’s official release date has yet to be announced.
