Before rising to stardom in the series “He’s Into Her,” Belle Mariano first had to deal with bashers who didn’t believe in her.
In the May 16th episode of talk show “Magandang Buhay,” Belle couldn’t hold back her tears as she recalled getting bashed and criticized before starring alongside Donny Pangilinan in the first season of “He’s Into Her.”
"In 2019, ['He’s Into Her'] was announced. And a lot of people were throwing hate at me because they thought na parang I couldn't do it, I couldn't portray Max. So that time parang napanghinaan ako ng loob kasi medyo naniniwala na rin ako sa sinasabi nila na hindi ko kaya. Sorry, naiyak talaga ako," she recounted.
Despite being on the receiving end of such negativity, Belle decided to rise above it and reframe her perspective.
"Medyo naca-carried away na rin ako sa sinasabi nila na, ‘You can't do Max.' Hindi ko kaya. But then, that time I came to a realization na more of thinking na negative 'yung sinasabi nila. Oo, negative but I’ll take it as something that could really help me do better in what I do,” she shared.
“I came to a realization rin na I won't be able to fulfill my purpose if tinitingnan ko ‘yung sarili ko the way they see me. I should see my identity in God," she added.
Belle currently stars as Maxpein in the second season of “He’s Into Her” which premiered last April. She and her love team partner Donny have also co-starred in the 2021 romantic-comedy film “Love Is Color Blind.”
