Andi Eigenmann and her fiancé, professional surfer Philmar Alipayo, continue to inspire with their island life, adventures, and milestones. Now, they’re about to achieve their dream of opening a surf school!
In a YouTube vlog posted yesterday, April 5, Andi gave a glimpse of their latest project-in-progress in Siargao: a surf school, a surf shop, and snack bar!
Andi showed Philmar hard at work constructing the establishment with other workers while she and their kids, Lilo and Koa, were enjoying the beach.
“We are spending the morning here while waiting for Papa who’s busy there working because finally, he’s been dreaming of putting up a surf school and a surf shop,” she addressed her viewers.
She added, “And ngayon, nag-partner up na siya with Mang Carding of Kanaway Surf School. So they are going to open Kanaway together this time and preparing the shop in time for you guys this summer. By Holy Week, you can book your surf lessons when you come visit Siargao.”
According to Eigenmann, they have been working on setting up the shops for at least two and a half weeks.
The “Momzillas” actress emphasized how the school will be of help to the locals in Siargao: “It will be obviously such great help to the surf instructors here kasi ‘yan ang source of livelihood ng karamihan dito ay tourism.”
She also announced that they are opening a nearby store called Kanaway Snack Bar where surfers and tourists can buy their “palamigs” and snacks.
After Typhoon Odette hit Siargao back in December, Andi and Philmar’s family temporarily relocated to Manila. They began their trip back home to the island on March 1, after more than three months of staying in the city.
