How Elijah Canlas got into character as Jeffrey in ‘Misis Piggy’

Elijah Canlas’ new role as Jeffrey in the iWantTFC series “Misis Piggy” is definitely different from his roles in previous projects.

In the “Misis Piggy” media conference held on April 21, Elijah detailed how he approached his role as Jeffrey, the youngest child of Sylvia Sanchez’s lead character.

“Parang wala namang adjustments. I mean, super safe pa ng role ko dito compared to the roles that I’ve done before,” he said.

Elijah recalled that as soon as he got together with his co-stars, including Ria Atayde and Iana Bernardez, he “authentically” began to embody his character.

“When I read the script, sobrang buo na po ‘yung mga characters. Kaunting tanong na lang kay Direk Carlo (Catu) and, of course, when I stepped on set, parang dahil nandun na ‘yung bahay, nakadamit na ako as Jeffrey and kasama ko na ‘yung buong pamilya, it just came authentically,” he explained.

“Super grateful for this group. And super grateful for the wonderful material ni Direk Carlo,” he spoke of his experience working on this project .

“Misis Piggy” is a family drama series written and directed by Carlo Enciso Catu which follows the story of Marivic (Sylvia), a single mother who has to keep up with the reality of her three children growing as adults. It also stars Ricky Davao and Fino Herrera.
