Singer-actress Maris Racal recently revealed how to get her signature dolled-up look and it’s best to take notes!
In her YouTube vlog uploaded on February 27, the “How to Move On in 30 Days” actress shared her makeup routine in detail, showing the different products she uses and her tried-and-tested beauty techniques and tips.
After starting her regimen with sunscreen application, Maris takes her viewers through a step-by-step application of the following products in order: primer, concealer, face contour, nose contour, cheek blush, eyeshadow, eye liner, mascara, eyebrow grooming, lip makeup, then highlighter.
Based on experience, Maris said that she opts to apply concealer minimally because a thick application makes her look “stressed.”
Her favorite part of applying makeup though is contouring!
“Ito ‘yung favorite part ko kasi parang nagiging tao na ako, hindi na ako nagiging espasol,” she quipped. “I swear, feeling ko ‘pag naka-contour na ako, parang ‘Wow, tao na ako.’ Parang confident na akong lumabas.”
She also shared a handy contouring tip to viewers: “Kapag nagko-contour kayo ng nose niyo or sa cheekbone area, always look for the shade na kind of gray kasi ‘yun yung shade ng shadow natin eh, lalo na sa mga morena.”
If you’re wondering where Maris got her “makeup education,” she mentioned that she loves taking advice and tips from her makeup artists, including Anthea Bueno, Jelly Eugenio, and Gery Penaso.
"Nanonood ako ng mga makeup videos sa YouTube pero sa makeup artist ko kasi, sobrang attentive ko,” she revealed. “Tinatanong ko palagi ano 'yung ginagamit niya, so lahat ng everyday makeup ko, kuha ko 'to lahat sa kanila,” she spoke of her makeup artists.
