‘It’s not the age, it’s how you look’: Alma Concepcion hits back at bashers who called her ‘gurami’ and ‘matanda’

Bashers don’t stand a chance of putting down former beauty queen Alma Concepcion who remains unfazed by ageist comments.

On March 6, Alma took to Facebook to share screenshots of her clapbacks to netizens who called her “gurami,” which is Filipino slang for “old” and “matanda.”

“Mas gusto ko na maging ‘gurami’ kesa maging bata na wala naman respeto sa kapwa,” she captioned the exchange.

The netizen commented on her Instagram post, “Mga gurami”

The 46-year-old actress took notice of the comment and gave a straightforward response, “So? Aging is a privilege denied to many. Ano issue mo sa gurami?”

Another commenter left another insulting remark: “Anu na naman ang drama ng matandang to.”

“It’s not the age, it’s how you look. Ikaw ano'ng itsura mo? 😂” Alma quickly replied.

From these posts, now netizens should know better than to bash the Binibining Pilipinas International 1994 titleholder! She’s definitely not one to let anyone get away with being harsh and rude.
