Romeo Pastrana, better known as comedian Dagul, opened up about his struggles to make ends meet for his family since he left showbiz in 2019.

In an interview with Ogie Diaz on his vlog released on March 20, the "Goin' Bulilit" alum shared how his present situation was barely enough to sustain the needs of his family.

Currently, Dagul works at a barangay hall as head of its command center, while also operating a small sari-sari store on his days off.

Now 63, Dagul said the condition of his legs brought by his dwarfism also add to his daily struggle. His son has to carry him from time to time to work, or he has to use a wheelchair since he can no longer walk on his own. "Kapag tumayo ako hindi ako tumatagal, hindi ako makakalakad, nakaupo lang," he said.

Seeing how his life has become, Dagul couldn't help but become emotional knowing he can no longer afford to continue the studies of his daughter, even with his income combined.

In terms of his savings from showbiz, Dagul said he managed to save up although most of it went to the construction of his house.

Even with all the hardships, Dagul's remaining hope for now is to see that his children will become successful in the future.
