Aga Muhlach is all praises for Arjo Atayde who will be headlining the upcoming international project "Cattleya Killer."
In case you didn't know, the series is an adaptation of the 1996 Star Cinema thriller “Sa Aking Mga Kamay," a story of an infamous serial killer previously portrayed by Aga.
The veteran actor believes that Arjo would do justice in the role seeing how great of an actor he is.
“Si Arjo is my inaanak. I’ve seen some of his shows na ginawa niya lalo na doon sa Netflix and ang galing niya. Ang galing niyang umarte talaga, mahusay siya,” he said in a report by ABS-CBN News.
“Kaya nga noong sinabing gagawin niya 'yon, sabi ko by all means, bakit naman hindi? But nakakatuwa naman na isang magaling na artista ang gumanap," he related.
In an interview with PUSH back in October 2021, Arjo praised the portrayal of his Tito in the original film. "1996, I’ve watched it. Such an amazing film. It was a different Aga Muhlach or Tito Aga that I’ve seen,” he said.
The award-winning actor also teased how different the adaptation would be from the movie.
"Practically, it’s the same story, same personality, same everything. I think the only difference that we have is just that the twists and stories have modernized."
"And also, obviously ako po. I can’t do what Tito Aga did… I can only try to do my best,” he humbly added.
"Cattleya Killer" will be helmed by award-winning director Dan Villegas. It will also star Jake Cuenca, Jane Oineza, Ricky Davao, Nonie Buencamino, Ria Atayde, Ketchup Eusebio, Frances Makil, Rafa Siguion-Reyna, Jojit Lorenzo, Zsa Zsa Padilla, and Christopher De Leon.
It is set to be released for international audiences soon.
