Barbie Imperial has never gotten back with any of her ex-boyfriends, and here’s why she’s not going to start now.
A week after confirming her breakup with Diego Loyzaga, Barbie explained why she’s not one to give past relationships a second go.
"Based on experience, wala naman akong binalikan ever na ex,” she said in the virtual media conference for the series “The Goodbye Girl” as reported by PEP.ph.
“Dun na lang tayo sa experience na parang hindi na. Kasi nung time na ‘yun na magkasama kami, sana 'yun na ‘yung time na okay lahat, na dun gagawin kung anuman ipu-prove, ganito, ganyan. Parang you had your shot,” the 23-year-old actress spoke from experience.
She quickly quipped, "I mean, Lord, please guide me. Sana wala na talaga."
Barbie also thinks it’s better to be on good terms with an ex in case a restart does take place. Nonetheless, she's not one to hand out second chances just like that, especially if the cause of the breakup is a significantly “big reason.”
"That's why maganda nga na good breakup talaga. And if nag-away na kayo, siraan, ganito, ganyan, parang ang hirap magkabalikan talaga. Pero ‘yun nga, ulitin ko lang answer ko. For me, nandun ka na eh, sa time na magkasama tayo, sana dun mo ginawa,” she explained.
"If wala na, if big reason na ng paghiwalay namin, mahirap kasi sa akin na tanggapin ‘yung mga bagay na nangyari,” she added.
Barbie has not disclosed the reason for her and Diego’s breakup, but according to the actor, they’re currently on “talking terms.”
Meanwhile, there are plenty of lessons about love and heartache from the series "The Goodbye Girl” where Barbie plays the mistress of Turs Daza’s character. You can now stream it on iWantTFC.
