WATCH: All the times Chai Fonacier stood out in ‘Nocebo’ trailer

Chai Fonacier made a powerful impression in the trailer of Irish psychological-thriller film “Nocebo” co-starring Eva Green and Mark Strong.

As seen in the movie’s official trailer released on October 3, the “Sakaling Maging Tayo” actress plays a Filipino nanny who seemingly helps Eva Green’s character, a fashion designer suffering from a mysterious illness, through folk medicine.

The film synopsis described Chai’s character as one who “uses traditional folk healing to reveal a horrifying truth”.

As we wait on the edge of our seats for the premiere of this Philippine and Ireland co-production, let’s take a closer look at Chai’s first international role based on the trailer:

The moment she introduced herself to Eva’s family

That sinister smirk she gave to Eva’s character

The scenes showing how she healed Eva’s pain

The grim look she showed while spying on Eva’s family

The time she spoon-fed Eva with an unknown substance

The eerie scene where she held her hands up in the air

And if those stills are not enough to hype up, wait until you see what Eva had to say about Chai in an Instagram post dedicated to the Cebuana actress.

“My fabulous co-star, @chaifonacier and I from the film we are shooting, NOCEBO directed by the amazing @lorcanfinnegan,” Eva captioned their selfie dated April 1, 2021.

“Chai is truly a great actress with extraordinary depth and sensitivity and she was an incredible partner - she blew me away!” she praised her.

Directed by Lorcan Finnegan and written by Garret Shanley, “Nocebo” will hit cinemas on November 4 and be available on video-on-demand on November 22.
