Volleyball star Alyssa Valdez has tested positive for COVID-19.
Her talent agency, the V Management Group, confirmed the news in a statement released on Friday, January 7.
The statement reads, "After experiencing some mild symptoms and a confirmatory RT-PCR test, Alyssa tested positive for COVID-19."
"We'd like to thank those who have sent their well-wishes and prayers her way. Please be rest assured that Alyssa is taking the necessary precautions and will be recovering from home."
On Instagram Stories, the former "Pinoy Big Brother" housemate then thanked everyone who wished her fast recovery, writing, "Thank you for the prayers and well-wishes. Stay safe everyone!"
Alyssa with Anji Salvacion were hailed as the top two in the recently concluded celebrity edition of "PBB Kumunity Season 10."
They will return to Kuya's house after the ongoing Adult edition and the upcoming Teen edition.
