Nanay Lina, the childhood nanny of KC Concepcion, has sadly passed away.
KC paid a heartfelt tribute to her loving yaya in an Instagram post on Monday, January 3.
Along with a throwback picture from her childhood days, KC expressed her gratitude for the way Nanay Lina loved and cared for her.
“No words can express how I cherish you, and how loved you made me feel,” KC began the caption. “Just my presence, just me being with you in the same room, made you so happy, and how that would inspire me.”
“Thank you for the unconditional love, your fierce loyalty and unshakeable faithfulness Nanay. I prayed as a child that God would give you a long, full life. He granted that wish,” she wrote.
Moved by her nanny’s positive influence on her, the “Forever and a Day” actress thought fondly of how Nanay Lina could now be enjoying champagne in heaven.
“I did my best for you my Nanay Lina, even if I needed to leave the nest and grow my wings to fly. Now you’re the one with wings flying around heaven for sure. Mag-champagne ka na jan nanay masarap champagne (dyan) for sure,” KC added.
“I love you so much and I’m eternally grateful to you for taking care of me until the end. I’ll love and cherish you and your smile, your eyes that would light up, your handwritten letters year after year, with all my heart," she said in dedication to her former keeper.
"My childhood nanny. My loyalist and now my guardian angel. Kap khun kah,” she wrote, before adding the hashtags #ElenaBuenaobra #NanayLina #Family.
Before Nanay Lina passed away, KC was able to give her a house as a gift in 2018.
