EXCLUSIVE: Belle Mariano spills her all-time favorite movies and TV series

A romantic at heart, Belle Mariano admits that she gets easily enthralled by shows with charming and emotional storylines.

In an exclusive interview with Star Cinema, the “Love is Color Blind” star gave an insight to what tugs at her heartstrings by naming her all-time favorite movies and TV series.

“My all-time favorite movie would have to be 'Notting Hill.' And then series, it would have to be K-dramas, probably 'Crash Landing On You',” Belle revealed.

The one thing "Notting Hill" and 'Crash Landing On You' have best in common? They’re rom-com cult classics!

When asked if she had any local choices, the actress bashfully whispered the name of her own show: “He’s Into Her!”

From being an avid “Barney” fan as a kid to the beloved leading lady in "He's Into Her," Belle said she loves to seek out more K-drama recommendations from her fans and followers.

“When I’m on Kumu, I ask them, ‘guys, can you recommend K-dramas I can watch?’ Kasi ang bilis kong natatapos, as in a span of two days, three days, tapos ko na ‘yung isang buong season ng pinapanood ko,” she detailed.

Explaining her fondness of K-dramas, Belle confessed that she gets “too attached” to the actors which makes it harder for her to stop hopping from one show to the next.

“I look for movies na nandun ‘yung actor kasi you just want to see them perform, you just want to see them act, and nakakatuwa how they’re able to bring life to their character,” she said.

Despite her love for romantic plots, Belle has a starkly different choice of movie she’d like to do a cameo in. It’s the 2021 satirical drama “Don’t Look Up” starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Lawrence, and Meryl Streep.

“They’re just such amazing actors and I would love to work with them and just see them act. You can really see their passion through their eyes. As in kitang-kita mo ‘yung emosyon nila without speaking or saying a word. Their eyes communicate,” Belle spoke of the star-studded cast of “Don’t Look Up.”
