Kris Aquino slams “social media trolls” who have been spreading false claims that she’s in critical condition amid her battle with a rare autoimmune disease.
The actress-TV host took to Instagram yesterday, January 24, to set the record straight by sharing a picture of herself and her sons Bimby and Josh, attending a virtual novena Mass for Kris’ cousin Marla who passed away on January 21.
After opening up about her cousin’s passing, she wrote in the caption: “It’s been disturbing that since Friday so many have been spreading fake news about me being either in St Luke’s BGC or the States but always with the same theme, that I’m in the ICU and in critical condition.”
“NONE OF THAT IS TRUE,” she firmly stated.
The rumors come seven months after the death of her brother, former President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III. As Kris pointed out, it seems to be exciting news for trolls that she would die within a year as her brother.
“Ayaw akong tigilan ng fake news and parang sobrang excited yung mga trolls na within 1 year both Noy and me would pass away,” she said.
“Sorry to disappoint pero buhay (pa ako) at ilalaban pa na mapahaba ang oras ko because Kuya Josh & Bimb still need me,” she addressed the trolls.
She went on to express her appreciation for her friends who have shown her the utmost care and comfort during this time.
“To all my REAL friends who have gone out of their way to reach out, send me food, fruits, flowers, balloons and just so much na nahihiya na ko- because they want to make me feel their love & affection- you have my lifelong loyalty & gratitude,” she included in the caption.
She ended the post, saying, “Good night but definitely it’s not yet goodbye.”
