‘Mind your own business’: Jessy Mendiola claps back at netizens’ comments about her getting pregnant

Jessy Mendiola is drawing the line when it comes to her own body and pregnancy journey.

After posting an Instagram clip on January 16 showing her workout routine, Jessy received a mix of positive and negative comments from her followers. While some praised her for staying active and fit, there were netizens who questioned Jessy’s plans of getting pregnant because of her workout regimen.

 

 

One netizen wrote: “Nagpapa-abs, walang balak magbuntis?”

Jessy didn’t shy away from that comment as she replied, “Porket may abs, bawal mabuntis?”

Another comment read, “Pano ka magkaka-baby niyan if you always exercise?”

“Hindi mabigat yang binubuhat ko. 5 lbs lang yan,” Jessy wrote with a smiling emoji.

She later added, “Iba-iba lahat tayo. Hindi ibig sabihin na it works for you eh ganon na din sa iba.”

While the actress already slammed her bashers with one-liner quips, Jessy took to her Instagram Story to further make her point about respecting other people’s choices and bodies.

"I really don't understand why people feel the need to ask these things. One way of showing respect when it comes to a woman's pregnancy or plans on getting pregnant is knowing your limits,” she wrote, along with a repost of an article by Preview featuring her classy response to bashers.

“Stop asking, stop giving unsolicited advice. I know my body more than anyone else and I always follow what my O.B. says. Just mind your own business," she asserted.

Last November, Jessy opened up about her plans on getting pregnant with husband Luis Manzano, saying that she’s preparing for pregnancy by staying fit and healthy.

“Priority din talaga ang health. I’m preparing for that. That’s why hindi pa ako [bumabalik sa showbiz]. I still workout naman. Mostly 'yun 'yung lagi nilang sinasabi na dapat daw kapag magbubuntis dapat hindi mag-workout, hindi magkilos-kilos. But it’s more of kung ano nakasanayan mo in life. Kung ma-workout kang tao, you have to still continue doing it. But of course less weights, less strenuous activities,” she detailed in a report by PUSH.
