Celebrity couple Drew Arellano and Iya Villania's sons Primo and Leon have contracted COVID-19.

Iya took to Instagram on Thursday, January 13, to share that their eldest Primo has joined them in isolation — just little less than a day since she confirmed that their three-year-old son Leon has also been showing symptoms.

"And the kuya’s day 1 has officially started 🙈," she wrote.

The former MYX VJ then shared her conversation with Primo who was all smiles in joining them in their COVID ward at home. Iya first announced she was positive and in isolation last January 10.

She continued, "Oh to be a mother 😅❤️ I’m glad I’ve pretty much recovered to be able to care for these monkeys 🐒 Tonight should be interesting 😅😅😅"

Iya then left some reminders for her fellow parents whose kids might catch the virus.

"Mamas! Papas! Make sure you have everything ready for the night 😆 Meds, medicine cups or syringes, extra clothes (in case of vomit), nebuliser, necessary nebules, wet/cold towel, thermometer, oximeter, water and a lamp! You might not need it but you’re better to be prepared than trying to find all of that in the middle of the night 😅 Especially if you’re isolated and have limited access to things around the house 🙈 Get ready for battle ⚔️" she said.

In a separate Instagram post on Wednesday, January 12, Iya first shared Leon's experience after being infected with COVID.

"I knew chances were slim but after almost a week, our little kuya (as well as our ate that takes care of Alana) has joined me on the dark side 😖 Leon woke up with a fever and also 🤮 this morning 💔 " she wrote.

She then shared how tricky COVID is once it strikes family members one by one, since it prolongs the quarantine of those who had been infected earlier.

"It’s not as simple as positives with positives and negatives with negatives. The moment someone tests positive and is put in a room with other positives, the most recent positive’s day 1 becomes everyone else’s day 1 (did u get that?) 😳 so before having Leon join the dark side and bringing us all back to day 1, Drew and I had to decide for him to join the “clean” side since he was already on day 7 (although I brought him back to day 4 🙈)."

"Thank goodness he tested negative in 2 antigen tests showing that he was no longer infectious. So now he’ll continue his quarantine on the “clean” side with a mask on to help take care of Alana whose mother and yaya are both now in isolation 🙈 still hoping for the best for Alana, Primo and our 2 other ates who are keeping the home from falling apart while I’m isolated 😅"

Given the tricky situation, Iya shared her realizations after dealing with such an ordeal.

"This is so so tricky!!! It’s almost like it’s better if everyone just gets sick nalang so that you can all start and end together, but then you also don’t want to risk it and still hold onto that hope that others are spared coz you don’t know how bad it might actually hit them 😖"

"If anything, given the situation, I still thank God that He allowed for Drew and I to get thru this first so that we could already be on the road to recovery to care for the little ones we love when it’s their turn…"

"On the bright side, we might not have the vaccine for the kids yet but at least they’ll now develop the antibodies 😅 Lord, pls don’t let it be harsh on the kids 🙏🏼" she added.
