Netizens were moved by the lesson Candy Pangilinan imparted on her post about her son Quentin on Monday, September 6.
The actress shared that Quentin had his first day of class and to make it easier for him, she bought him a new laptop since he only used to borrow his grandma’s iPad.
“Quentin's 1st day of class. Bought him a new laptop kasi nga borrowing lang siya ng iPad kay Nini,” said Candy. But instead of just accepting this gift, Quentin told her something that really touched her heart.
“When he saw that I like his new laptop, sabi niya, 'Mom, yours na lang my laptop. That's your reward for being good. Exchange na lang tayo. I can have your old laptop,'” she continued.
Because of this, Candy was reminded of the value in thinking of other’s needs aside from your own.
“Hay! Thank you Lord for a wonderful blessing.” She added, “Sensitivity indeed warms the heart of the people around you. We need to be sensitive to the need of the people around us. Let's start with our family members.”
As of writing, Candy’s post has received more than 17,000 shares and 126,000 reactions on Facebook, with comments praising the relationship the two have and the way she raised her son.
In May, the comedienne also went viral for her interview on Toni Gonzaga’s “Toni Talks”, where she opened up about her struggles as a single mom and the things she had to fight for just to give Quentin the life and experiences he deserves.
