4 celebrities you wouldn’t expect to have released music

While it is not uncommon for celebrities to branch out to multiple art forms or a variety of roles in showbiz, there are still stars who take us by surprise when they push towards the unexpected.

In the name of the unexpected, we’ve listed the following celebrities you've probably forgotten had musical projects:

Bea Alonzo

Bea is best known for her award-winning performances in films “One More Chance”, “Miss You Like Crazy”, and “The Mistress,” among other box office hits.

But the veteran actress has also dabbled in music. In an attempt to show another layer of the real her, Bea released her debut album “The Real Me” in 2008 under Star Records. While it is the first and only album of Bea, the six-track compilation successfully showcased the actress’ candy sweet vocals.

Erich Gonzales

Erich’s success in showbiz is marked by her accolades in acting and modelling. But lest we forget, back in 2019, Erich made a professional move that was truly out of the ordinary. She collaborated with Thai rapper Marco Maurer for the song “Won’t Let You Go”.

Not only did Erich lend her saccharine vocals to the track, but she also directed the music video! Talk about wearing many hats, Erich!

You can check out the music video here:

Angelica Panganiban

Who knew Angelica has a flair for songwriting? Her BFF Glaiza de Castro sure did!

Angelica penned the songs “Sinta”, “Ganti”, and “London” included in Glaiza’s fourth studio album “Magandang Simulain” distributed by Polyeast Records in 2017.

In an interview with PEP, Glaiza detailed how the collaboration came about: "Hindi talaga namin plano mag-record professionally. Basta nangyari na lang ito. She texted me some lyrics or words concerning yung mga pinagdadaanan niya nung time na yun."

Bimby Aquino-Yap

Bimby, the son of Queen of All Media Kris Aquino, has beaten many artists to the chase when he recorded the theme song of Kris’ 2015 Metro Manila Film Festival entry "All You Need Is Pag-Ibig”.

We’ve been waiting for Bimby’s debut album since!
