We’re going to have to wait a bit longer to see who among this year’s candidates will be crowned the next Miss Universe Philippines.
On Sunday, September 19, the Miss Universe Philippines Organization issued an official statement announcing the postponement of the 2021 coronation night. Citing the safety of all the stakeholders as its number one priority, the organization assured that it will be enhancing the pageant’s safety protocols.
They also released an updated schedule of the pre-pageant activities, preliminaries, and the voting period. As for the coronation ceremony, no date has been announced yet.
“We will announce the final date of the pageant as soon as we get the final approval from IATF for our enhanced plans for the finals,” the official post read.
Despite the delay, the pageant organizers guaranteed that the wait would not take too long.
“Rest assured that once we receive the final go signal, you will be the first to know. Don’t worry the finals will be just a few days away," the organization assured fans and viewers.
This year’s crowned queen will represent the Philippines at the Miss Universe pageant in Eliat, Israel in December.
The Miss Universe Philippines pageant will be available to watch on KTX.ph. If you've already bought your season passes, they will be honored following the new schedule. If you still haven't gotten your passes, you can get them here:
