Lovi Poe gets showered with love on ‘ASAP’ debut

Lovi Poe has finally made her big “ASAP” debut on Sunday, September 19!

She was joined on stage for a performance with Gary Valenciano and Erik Santos — something she described as an “honor”.

The “Flower of Evil” actress also received welcome messages from her fellow Kapamilyas, including star of “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano” Coco Martin, who said through a pre-recorded video, “Hi, Lovi! Welcome sa ABS-CBN bilang isang Kapamilya. Sobra kaming excited na makasama ka sa proyekto. Congratulations and good luck sa ‘yo!”

Piolo Pascual, whom she would be working with in the upcoming Philippine adaptation of “Flower of Evil”, told Lovi, “It’s nice to finally have you here as a Kapamilya. I’m just really excited to work with you in our series. I hope mag-enjoy ka and sana marami tayong pagsamahang projects together.”

“The Broken Marriage Vow” star Jodi Sta. Maria also happily welcomed Lovi by saying, “Masaya kaming makasama ka, Lovi. Everyone is waiting to watch your team-up with Papa P. Welcome to ABS-CBN.”

Iza Calzado, Sunshine Dizon, Paulo Avelino, Zanjoe Marudo, Ogie Alcasid, and Martin Nieverra gave their wishes and messages for Lovi as well. And last but not the least was Lovi’s sister Senator Grace Poe.

Grace assured the Lovi that their father, the late Fernando Poe Jr., is proud of her. The politician then added she hopes that Lovi would follow his footsteps by making an action film.

“Congratulations, dear Lovi. I'm sure Papa's very proud of you. My special wish is that you actually make an action film. Kayang-kaya mo yan kasi disiplinado ka, very fit, at alam ko magaling ka rin sumuntok,” said Grace.

“In my heart, you're always pamilya,” she continued. “Continue to make us proud, I love you.”

When asked what being a Kapamilya truly means to her, Lovi answered, “It’s the essence of feeling at home wherever you are, kahit saan ka mang parte ng mundo, ‘yung hindi ka nag-iisa at meron kang Kapamilya.”
