The past week has not been easy for Angel Locsin and her family as her 94-year-old father, Angelo Colmenares, contracted the COVID-19 virus and is currently fighting its effects.
The Kapamilya star shared the sad news on Instagram last Sunday, September 12, with a photo of her dad in an ambulance.
On the caption, she wrote why it’s especially hard for persons with disabilities like Angelo, who’s blind, to be dealing with a difficult time like this.
“It’s been a week of feeling helpless,” she said. “Imagine having COVID at 94. Now, imagine being blind in unfamiliar surroundings.”
The actress continued to express her thoughts from this challenge, then wished strength and courage to other PWD’s having the same experience.
“So many realizations during this pandemic. We all have our battles, but some definitely more than others. To the PWD’s and everyone fighting their battles alone, kapit! This too shall pass,” said Angel.
