Andrea Brillantes faced mean comments about her online, but since she’s willingly taking in a sizable amount of negativity, she’s doing it her way.
“Para mas masaya, kakain ako. Kasi ayaw ko naman ulamin ‘yung nega vibes ng mga tao,” the Kapamilya star said as she explained the concept of her newest vlog.
As someone who’s been in the entertainment industry since she was a child, Andrea has experienced online bashing several times and sometimes, she gets it why people call her names like “maarte” and “maldita”.
The “Huwag Kang Mangamba” actress admitted being “maarte” is one of the most common things thrown her way and in a way, she accepts it.
‘Pag hindi na ‘ko nag-post, ‘di na ko magiging relevant and I have bills to pay!” she shared.
Being “maldita”, however, is something she never wants people to remember her by.
Responding to the netizen who called her this, Andrea said, “Kung nagpakita ako sa ‘yo ng gano’n, siguro pagod lang talaga ako nun or meron akong sariling problema na iniisip, I’m so sorry.”
She added, “Pero ako talaga, I try my best na ipakita ‘yung best version ko, lalo na sa fan, kasi ‘yun ‘yung possibly last moment na makikita nila ako and ‘yun na ‘yung maalala nila for the rest of their life, ayaw kong maging bastos ako sa kanila, kasi ‘yun na ‘yung maalala nila.”
Andrea also confessed that, even though she has gotten used to it, being on the receiving end of spiteful words can get overwhelming. In fact, there were times when it got so bad, that she almost turned her back on showbiz completely.
Later in the video, Andrea came across another mean comment about her and before she could retaliate and say something mean back, she told her viewers, “Hindi ako magiging katulad nila. Meron akong gustong sabihin, pero I won’t stoop down to their level.”
