Comedian Noemi 'Mahal' Tesorero passes away

Comedian Noemi Tesorero, better known as Mahal in showbiz, has passed away. She was 44.

The comedian-actress' sister Irene Tesorero confirmed the news in a Facebook post on Tuesday, August 31.

She wrote, "Ang aming kapatid na si Mahal ay pumanaw na. Wala pa schedule sa kanyang burol due to COVID restrictions."

No other details have been released about the cause of her death.

Prior to her passing, Mahal appeared in the vlog of the other half of the Mahal and Mura team-up, Mura, or Allan Padua in real-life. She visited him in his hometown in Guinubatan, Albay.

She is best known for her roles in the 1997 film "Kokey" and 2003 comedy "Mr. Suave."
