Arjo Atayde has tested positive for COVID-19.
Feelmaking Productions, the production outfit behind his new movie, announced the news in a statement they released on Wednesday, August 18.
According to the statement, the actor tested positive on August 16 while shooting for his new movie after experiencing "high fever, headaches, and difficulty breathing."
The production outfit, together with Arjo's parents Sylvia Sanchez and Arturo Atayde, and his doctors, then decided to rush him to a hospital in Manila on Tuesday, August 17, as he had “a pre-existing medical condition.”
Apart from Arjo, nine other people who are part of the production also tested positive for the virus and are asymptomatic. The film outlet then assured that they have also provided assistance to them, who are now in quarantine.
According to the post, the Atayde family has also reached out to Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong and assured that they "will comply with our commitments to the City."
Arjo and the whole production have been in Baguio for two months for their new project set to be released later this year.
