Daniel Padilla could handle being betrayed, but not being left by a loved one.
This was what the Kapamilya star confessed in his interview on Boy Abunda’s “The Purple Chair” released on Saturday, August 14.
Daniel shared that if someone betrays him, he could forgive it because that would benefit him as well. But if someone leaves him, he wouldn’t know how to move on from that.
You’ll be lost.”
To explain further, he recalled a past experience he had with girlfriend Kathryn, who forgave him despite a mistake he did.
“That happened to me before at si Kathryn pinatawad ako. I was a kid, I was stupid, and still tinanggap niya ako. At tinanggap niya ako nang buo.”
The couple have been together for almost a decade now and the actor revealed that, even though they are in each other’s company most of the time, he still gets excited every time he sees her.
“Sa work, kami magkasama. After work, kami pa rin magkasama. Yung beautiful dito is I’m always excited to see Kathryn.”
To him, she is not just an on-and-off screen partner. He described her as his “anchor.”
“Ito ang tawag ko, I’m a ship and she’s my anchor. Gano’n yung relationship namin. Kailangan ko yung taong ‘yun.”
Referencing an iconic line from their 2016 film “Barcelona: A Love Untold”, he added, “Mahal ko siya at kailangan ko siya.”
Being boyfriend-and-girlfriend for almost a decade now, talks about settling down always come up. Daniel, who’s now 26 and has said in the past that he wants to be married by the time he’s 30, revealed that he and Kathryn are now preparing themselves for the future.
In this stage of their relationship, the two have already figured out how to handle each other, especially their being “jealous” types.
I’ll talk to the guy, ‘Hey, man. It’s too much.’”
In this conversation with the King of Talk, the “Kun Maupay Man It Panahon" (Whether The Weather Is Fine) actor also spilled his favorite moments with Kathryn.
“’Pag lasing na ko at hindi ko na kaya, yung moments na siya mag-aalaga sa akin is my favorite part. Yung ‘pag nakita ako, inaalalayan niya ko, it’s my favorite part.”
He admitted that when he’s sick, he likes to make “pa-baby” to Kathryn. But when they eventually have an actual one of their own, he knows exactly what to do and what NOT to do.
“Kung may gusto silang bagay, focus on that. Paliliparin ko talaga sila. Hindi ko sila itatali,” said Daniel.
