Erwin Tagle, the stunt coordinator working with Julia Montes for her role in “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano,” revealed some exciting details to watch out for when she comes on the series.
In a report by MJ Felipe for “TV Patrol”, Erwin shared that lead star and director Coco Martin requested to have a team to manage the actress’ fight scenes and even camera angles.
“Bumuo ng team for Julia. ‘Pag dating sa fight scenes ni Julia, pati camera shots and angles iba ang approach,” said Erwin.
Julia has had three sessions of training. Coco was present each time and the two went on to film scenes right after.
Erwin explained the fighting style they planned for Julia’s character.
According to Erwin, Coco also asked him to teach Julia some moves on street fighting.
As someone who had not done action scenes in years, Julia felt “insecure.” But when she saw an edited video from her training, she was really pleased.
“Second day, pinakita namin ‘yung edited video na ginawa niya. Parang nai-insecure pa nga siya minsan,” said Erwin.
Erwin worked with Liza Soberano when she trained for “Darna” before she withdrew from the role because of an injury. He was also part of the American-Filipino crime drama series “Almost Paradise”.
