Jaya may be sad to leave “It’s Showtime”, but she is grateful for the wonderful experience she’s had and the lessons she learned from it.

On the noontime show last Saturday, July 3, Asia’s Queen of Soul took the time to give a farewell message after the “Tawag ng Tanghalan” segment, where she served as Punong Hurado.

“I am going to leave with a heavy heart, but I am happy because I’ve had the honor and privilege to work with talented hosts that truly accepted me and loved me, the staff, lahat ng nakikita ko dito. I love you with all my heart,” she shared.

She went on to acknowledge the things the hosts and her fellow “hurados” have taught her.

“I’ve truly learned so much. I may be old enough to say I’ve learned a lot, but I know nothing because you have all showed me excellence in what you do,” she continued.

The veteran singer also thanked the Lord for leading her to ABS-CBN, to “It’s Showtime”, and for helping her “stand up in the midst of her trials”.

Jaya said she knows for sure that ABS-CBN would remain strong despite the challenges, because it has helped so many people, including herself.

“You will never close, I claim that, because you’ve helped so many people, not only the public, but even me na isang singer na katulad ko namayagpag nang sandali dahil sa pagtanggap ninyo,” she added.

Vice Ganda later told Jaya, “Mahal na mahal ka namin bilang katrabaho at kaibigan.”

He admitted that they will long for Jaya’s undeniable contribution to the show. “Iba ‘yung markang iniwan niya sa ‘Tawag ng Tanghalan’. ‘Yung pamamaraan niya ng pagiging hurado, ‘di ba? Hahanapin natin ‘yun.”

The Unkabogable Star is hopeful that she will get to return and that they’ll see each other again.

“Ayaw ko siyang ma-miss, gusto ko siyang maramdaman everyday. She’s such a good friend. Ang sarap-sarap na nandidito ka. Magkikita tayo ulit!” said Vice.

In a virtual conference, Jaya revealed that she and her family are moving to the U.S.
