ABS-CBN's “Huwag Kang Mangamba” just got even more star-studded!
Ian Veneracion has joined the series as Elias, who will play a significant part in the life of Mira, portrayed by his former “Pangako Sa ‘Yo” co-star Andrea Brillantes.
In a script-reading video shared by Dreamscape Entertainment, the returning Kapamilya actor teased how his role would affect the storyline.
“I’m really excited for Elias to enter Mira’s life. But I can't share if I will be her friend or enemy and if I have good or bad intentions. My character is a surprise so I’m excited for that,” said Ian.
Andrea del Rosario was also announced as a new cast member and we got a feeling that her character Thelma will give the teleserye some extra heat.
“She’s super evil. She’s a good person at first but as we go along in the show, her true intentions will be revealed,” Andrea shared.
“He’s Into Her” actors Vivoree and Richard Quan are new additions as well, along with Nash Aguas and “Pinoy Big Brother” alum Andi Abaya. Both are playing teens from the orphanage that would befriend Mira.
Andi is Mikay and she’s “one of the adopted kids who is treated like a baby. She has low self-esteem and she will eventually become friends with Mira.” While Nash is Apollo, “an adopted child of the Policarpio family.” He is the eldest out of all the kids and the one who "disciplines" them.
“Huwag Kang Mangamba also stars Francine Diaz, Kyle Echarri, Seth Fedelin, Eula Valdes, Sylvia Sanchez, Mylene Dizon, Diether Ocampo, Enchong Dee, Angeline Quinto, Nonie Buencamino, Matet de Leon, Dominic Ochoa, Soliman Cruz, RK Bagatsing, Paolo Gumabao, and Matty Juniosa.
It airs on the Kapamilya Channel, A2Z, TV5, TFC, Kapamilya Online Live, iWant TFC, WeTV, and iflix. Viewers outside of the Philippines can also catch it on The Filipino Channel on cable and IPTV.
