What you’re about to read didn’t happen in a Nicholas Sparks novel. This actually happened in real life to Yam Concepcion.
The actress finally married her longtime boyfriend Miguel Cuunjieng on a yacht at New York City last Saturday, July 24. Their wedding was attended by 30 people, including his family who are based in the U.S. and from her side are her grandmother, step-grandfather and some friends.
It was already a beautiful event as it was, but the event got 10x more romantic when Miguel pulled out an envelope containing the vows he wrote six years ago!
He revealed that it dates back to July 27, 2015, but even then, he knew he was gonna marry Yam despite their long-distance relationship.
A part of it was included in a report by ABS-CBN News and in it, you’d hear Miguel say, “I vow that at times I will fail and fall short, but I won’t ever give up and I will never stop prioritizing your happiness.
The “Init sa Magdamag” star’s vows were filled with gratitude for her groom. She even thanked him for loving her dog, Tiny, that she brought with her from Manila to NYC.
“Thank you for accepting and loving me as I am. Thank you for asking me to marry you. Thank you also for loving Tiny. I love you with my everything. You’re the one I want to love completely and forever,” said Yam.
The couple’s planning to have a church wedding soon in the Philippines, where more of Yam’s loved ones could attend.
