Ara Mina and fiancé Dave Almarinez are set to get to married this Saturday, June 12 (Independence Day), according to a wedding invitation obtained by PEP.
The entertainment website also reported that the event will take place at Baguio City.
The couple was already scheduled to tie the knot last April 28, but it was postponed due to a surge of COVID-19 cases in the Metro.
The invitation also reveals that her sisters Cristine Reyes and Heidi Gatmaytan will serve as the matrons of honor. Her five-year-old daughter Mandy is said to have a “special participation” as well.
Their principal sponsors are a mix of big names from both the entertainment industry and politics, as Dave is an undersecretary at the Philippine International Trading Corporation (PITC).
The list includes: former Senate President Manny Villar and wife Senator Cynthia Villar, Senator Bong Go, Dr. Milagros Ong-How, Philippine Red Cross Chairman Richard Gordon, ABS-CBN executive Cory Vidanes, Senator Ralph Recto and wife House Representative Vilma Santos-Recto, DTI Secretary Ramon Lopez, San Pedro Laguna Mayor Lourdes Cataquiz, Glicerio Santos, Jr. ng Iglesia ni Cristo, Sharon Cuneta, Dioceldo Sy, Robina Gokongwei-Pe, Atty. Roy Almoro, GMA 7 executive Redgie Magno, Reality Entertainment Inc. producer Dondon Monteverde, Emelda Teng, Viva Films producer Vic del Rosario, Jr., and Jocelyn Lim Chiong.
In an interview with “Magandang Buhay” last January, Ara has said that Dave promised to give her her “dream wedding”, which she explained can’t be too extravagant as they will still have to follow pandemic safety protocols.
