Comedian-actor Carmelito Reyes, better known as Shalala, has passed away.
According to a report by PEP, Shalala died earlier today, June 23, after suffering from pulmonary tuberculosis. He was 61 years old.
His brother Anthony Reyes said that he was confined at the National Kidney Institute last week, and still looked weak after being discharged.
"Noong Tuesday, June 22, itinakbo namin siya sa Fe del Mundo Medical Center. Ni-revive siya kahapon, nahabol naman hanggang kagabi, pero namatay na po siya kanina," he said.
Shalala previously starred in the 2017 series "Pusong Ligaw."
