We firmly believe the term “Ang haba ng hair!” was invented just so we could all say it to Vice Ganda, who couldn’t feel any luckier about his relationship with boyfriend Ion Perez.
The Kapamilya star opened up about it during a chat with close friend and former manager Ogie Diaz and shared that he can’t imagine what his life would be like now without Ion in it.
“Ang saya ng puso ko. Masaya kami ni Ion. Masaya ako kay Ion. Masaya ako sa relationship namin. Every day I say thank to God na, ‘Ang bait Mo. Binigyan Mo ‘ko ng ganito. Pa’no kung wala ‘to? Anong lungkot ko ngayon kung wala akong ganitong katuwang?” said Vice.
He explained that whenever he looks at Ion, all his stress and worries wash away. Vice could be swamped with so much work, but every time he realizes that his partner is by his side, he gains all the energy he needs.
“Si Ion ‘di masalita, pero ‘pag tumingin siya sa akin at nakita ko na siya, makakalma na ‘ko. Pinakalma niya ang buhay ko,” said the “Everybody, Sing!” host.
This is also one of the many reasons why Vice chose to give up so many things, because Ion is all he needs.
“Dati ‘di ba, gabi-gabi rampa ako nang rampa, so tinalikuran ko ‘yun. Pati paninigarilyo ko tinalikuran ko. Pag-inom, ‘di na rin ako umiinom. Pati pag-gimik, kasi si Ion lang, sapat na. Totoo ‘yun,” he revealed.
Vice, however, wasn’t afraid to admit that their relationship isn’t perfect. Just like any other, it needs care and compromise, especially with Ion being the “seloso” type.
“This relationship is so valuable to me right now. Kaya iniingatan ko siya. As much as possible, hindi ako papayag na magbukas ng pinto sa ano mang magdidilikado sa amin,” said Vice.
He went on to detail a misunderstanding they had after Ion found out about one incident involving another guy that Vice kept from him.
“He felt betrayed na meron akong hindi sinabi sa kanya, tapos natuklasan niya,” he told Ogie.
It got so bad that Ion left for their hometown in Tarlac and Vice went after him, with the help of his mom and sister, to convince Ion that what happened meant nothing.
As soon as they saw each other again, Ion locked Vice in an embrace and broke down to tears.
The couple is going three years now and Vice assured that they have never experienced any “sawa factor”.
