The Malaysian adaptation of the 2009 series "Tayong Dalawa" which starred Kim Chiu, Gerald Anderson, and Jake Cuenca, has just been awarded as the most watched show on the Astro Prima Channel.
The series, which has a Malaysian title "Angkara Cinta," was aired from November 2 last year to April 9 this year on Astro Prima HD and Astro Prima channel. According to Astro Prima channel manager Norzeha Mohd Salleh, the series had the highest number of views on the channel throughout 2020.
“It garnered the highest number of views on Astro Prima throughout 2020. So as a token of appreciation, we gave our viewers 45 additional episodes,” he said.
ABS-CBN head of Program Acquisitions and International Sales and Distribution Macie Imperial then expressed her delight over the overwhelming feedback that the adaptation has received from its viewers.
“‘Angkara Cinta’s' successful run in Malaysia affirms ABS-CBN’s expertise in creating stories that have universal appeal and inspires us to continue on our path to becoming a bigger content provider in the global market,” she said.
“We are grateful for the overwhelming response from our Malaysian audiences,” she added.
"Tayong Dalawa" is one of the 16 titles that ABS-CBN has successfully sold across different parts of the globe through the ABS-CBN International Distribution.
