Even the brightest stars in the entertainment industry feel are not safe from the loneliness this long-standing lockdown brings.
One of them is Alexa Ilacad, who opened up recently on her bouts with isolation and loneliness during the pandemic.
“Some people are more energized being at home this time but I don’t enjoy this," Alexa said Tuesday, April 27, in a virtual press conference to launch her latest dance-pop single "Stay Right Here."
"There are days I feel useless not doing anything being stuck at home. There are days my schedule is jam-packed but for some reason I still feel drained," the "Four Sisters Before the Wedding" actress shared.
Alexa shared that there are some days when she already feels drained as early as 2 p.m., while she still has tons of work ahead.
She believes her bouts with isolation and loneliness come with the lack of human interaction in the time of lockdown.
"At times, there’s no motivation to get out of bed, but there’s yoga online which I try," Alexa said, adding that her mom always urges her to get fit.
"I would love someone to talk to, going to counseling, just to untangle my thoughts," she added.
