A lot of speculations have been made about rumored couple Bea Alonzo and Dominic Roque, and now a person close to them has also weighed in.
Dominic’s aunt, actress Beth Tamayo, did an interview with Pilipino Star Ngayon and got asked about her thoughts on his relationship with Bea and she answered, “Happy ako for them.”
The real score between them remains to be a mystery and Beth thinks if the two wants to keep it that way, then the public should just let them. “For me, that’s the mature way to handle it.”
She added, “Kumbaga, I think they’re very confident and happy sa wherever their relationship… kung saan man sila ngayon.”
As pointed out by fans, Bea and Dominic seemed to have shared a beach trip in Amanpulo just recently, based on very similar Instagram posts and Beth commented on this, saying, “If you’re not admitting anything, you’re not also denying anything. Kung nakita kayong magkasama, eh ‘di kayo magkasama. Kung magkahiwalay ang picture ninyo sa Amanpulo, eh ‘di magkahiwalay picture niyo.”
While she still didn’t confirm whether or not her nephew is dating the “One More Chance” star, Beth revealed she had a talk with Dominic, warning him about what could be said about him when linked to someone of that fame.
“Alam mo ‘yun… because Bea is the biggest star. Sabi ko sa kanya baka later on you will get a backlash from people saying that nakikisawsaw ka lang sa kasikatan ni Bea or whatever,” said Beth.
“’Yung you don’t have your own identity and just like riding sa career niya something like that,” she continued. “It’s hard. You might get feedback from other people na hindi maganda, deadmahin mo na lang. You know naman what to do and kung saan kayo masaya.”
Bea and Dominic have been reported to be dating since 2019 — the same year her breakup with Gerald Anderson was publicized and Gerald was first linked to now-girlfriend Julia Barretto.
