Angel Locsin, Dingdong Dantes to be honored as ‘Cinemadvocates’ at the 5th Film Ambassadors' Night

FDCP releases full list of honorees for this year’s Film Ambassadors’ Night!

Angel Locsin, Dingdong Dantes to be honored as ‘Cinemadvocates’ at the 5th Film Ambassadors' Night

Angel Locsin, Dingdong Dantes, Alden Richards, Arjo Atayde, and many more stars will be honored at the 5th year’s Film Ambassadors’ Night through an online event this February 28!

Last Tuesday, February 16, the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) announced this year’s list of honorees who are “film industry creatives, artists, filmmakers, and films of various formats that gained recognitions from established international film festivals and award-giving bodies in the past year.”

Angel and Dingdong will be recognized as Cinemadvocates. Meanwhile, Alden is part of the Actors category for winning the Asian Star Prize for his performance in the blockbuster film “Hello, Love, Goodbye” at the Seoul International Drama Awards.

Also included in the category is Arjo, who won Best Actor for his role in the iWant TFC series “Bagman” at the 3rd Asian Academy Creative Awards in Singapore.

Derick Cabrido will be honored for his Best Director award from the 40th Fantasporto -- Oporto International Film Festival for “Clarita”.

There’s an A-Lister category too for Lav Diaz who received the Best Director award for his film “Lahi, Hayop (Genus Pan)” at the Orizzonti Sector of Venice International Film Festival, as well as Rafael Manuel for winning Best Director his work in “Filipiñana” at the 70th Berlin International Film Festival.
