Beatrice Luigi Gomez may not have won the Miss Universe crown, but she definitely won the hearts of audiences worldwide with her incredible poise and elegant looks during the pageant.

The Miss Universe Philippines titleholder from Cebu City slayed every single one of her looks during the preliminary competition on December 10 and on the coronation night on December 13. From the National Costume showcase to the Top 5 question-and-answer portion, Beatrice did justice to the elegant creations made by talented Filipino designers.

We’ve compiled Beatrice’s looks from Miss Universe with a sense of pride for our queen’s awe-inspiring performance in the prestigious pageant.

Beatrice walked with confidence as she sported a pink one-piece swimsuit during the pageant’s swimsuit competition.

As she strutted on stage, her introduction went as follows: “Beatrice’s greatest ambition is to become a life coach. This 26-year-old is a proud bisexual who experienced insecurities coming out of her shell, so she wants to share the value of overcoming fears.”

Next up after the swimsuit round was the evening gown portion. Beatrice was a sight to behold in a lustrous red Francis Libiran creation which featured a one-shoulder neckline, a waist cut-out, and a thigh-high slit.

American host Carson Kressley presented Beatrice’s walk by saying: “Beatrice proudly took a citizen military course and became part of her country’s Navy Reserve Force. This 26-year-old is passionate about youth empowerment, focusing on uplifting children in conflict with the law.”

When it came to the National Costume round, Beatrice made jaws drop with an ensemble designed by Axel Que, with headpiece and accessories by Manny Halasan, which was called “Bakunawa Final Form: The Golden Lunar Dragon.”

Her intricate national costume was heavily inspired by the Bakunawa, a serpent-like dragon in Philippine mythology which is believed to have swallowed the moon and caused eclipses.

During the coronation night, Beatrice took to the stage to showcase a gold Francis Libiran couture gown which incorporated indigenous tribal patterns called Pintados.

On its social media pages, Miss Universe Philippines described the gown as “Intricately embellished with custom embroidery that depict some of the Philippines’ indigenous tribal patterns called “Pintados” meshed with Francis Libiran’s signature art deco aesthetic, this gold couture gown is truly a wearable work of art. With thousands of crystals carefully hand-sewn onto the piece, this represents hope and unparalleled beauty, culture, history and traditions of the Philippines.”
